Deb & Jessica at the Women's March in D.C.

My name is Jessica Inéz Martinez, and I am the past LULAC State Director for New Mexico and past National Youth LULAC President. In these roles, I worked to improve the social, economic, and political conditions for Hispanic people and their families in New Mexico and throughout the country.

I've had the pleasure of knowing and working with Deb Haaland for several years in my capacities with LULAC and as a fellow organizer. Deb's steadfast leadership and commitment to the wellbeing of Hispanic and all families always impressed me, and I've never doubted that I can count on her to do what is right and fair for the people. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way about Deb, and that kind of trust and confidence in our leaders is in short supply these days -- that's why I am very proud to announce my endorsement of Deb Haaland for New Mexico's 1st Congressional District, and I hope you will join me in supporting her campaign with a $5, $10, or $15 contribution today.

I've seen firsthand Deb's commitment to centering the voices of the underrepresented, working to find common ground to move us forward, and showing up when it matters the most. This commitment is the reason why Deb received the National LULAC Women's Leadership award, as well as the New Mexico LULAC Leadership award, for her partnership and advocacy in solidarity with our communities. I was also in D.C. with Deb for the Women's March, and I've never been more proud to march alongside such a fierce leader for women's rights and gender equity.

Based on my experience with the leading national Hispanic advocacy organization, I'm proud and confident to be 100% behind Deb. Deb Haaland is the champion Hispanic and all New Mexican families need and deserve in Congress, and I urge you to support Deb today with a $5, $10, or $15 contribution to her campaign.

Sincerely,

Jessica Inéz Martinez
